Severe Crohns Colitis

This 47 yr old man had a previous colonic stricture than was unable to be passed. He was lost to follow up for a period of time before presenting with diarrhoea. A Colonoscopy demonstrated terminal ileal ulceration (beginning) and severe deep apthous ulceration and pancolitis in keeping with Crohns disease. He responded to steroid and azathioprine therapy.
