Sudden onset Chestpain
This 90 year old woman presented with acute severe radiating through to back chest pain. This occurred whilst hanging out her washing shortly after taking a large Glucosamine tablet. She complained of acute severe dysphagia and an urgent CT chest performed to exclude aortic thoracic dissection was reported as showing a large oesophageal cancer extending from the cricopharyngeus to the COJ. She denied any previous symptoms. The endoscopy demonstrated the correct diagnosis (beginning from COJ backwards) (she remains the oldest reported patient with this condition)
